Does my ex care about me?

I had my friend talk to my ex and ask him a whole bunch of questions about why we broke up and it ended in me finding out that im ugly, im wierd, and he never really cared about me! HE NEVER LOVED ME! I feel so bad! we are still friends and he still flirts with me on occasions but now I dont even want to be friends with him! he sayed he regreted ever going out with me! It really hurt me! do you think he means this? do you think he really regrets our relationship? does he still care?
