I regret never asking her out.. What should i do?

Hello everyone, There is this girl and we have been really good friends. I have this huge crush on her but i was never able to ask her out.. I was always afraid that it might ruin our friendship. She just graduated recently so i think i let the chance slip away from my hands. People, what should i do? i regret not asking her? Should i tell her how i feel even if she is leaving tomorrow? and i was thinking that once i graduate next year, i will try to get into the same university as her. and over there i am not gonna let her slip away. I have never felt this way for someone. it is soo strange. What should i do people? Is waiting for someone for a year worth it? Should i tell her before she leaves tomorrow?
